The hornist has become the symbol of Viru Valge.

The image depicts a slim man wearing a long blue ruche, luxurious black shoes and knee high white socks; traditional Estonian folk clothes. He stands dominant against a magnificent limestone cliff and a beautiful seascape, while on his left side stands a small juniper. The man's powerful blow can be heard from very far away, and he always blows his horn toward the west, representing the western mentality, the latent desire for freedom.
